Dr. Zhen Wei Armed with Intelligence in Architecture Design

In 2018 Rosemead Modern Architecture Design Symposium, Dr. Zhen Wei, a renowned young architect and urban planning designer from Shanghai China, armed with intelligence in her design work, aroused great concern and recognition among her US peers.                                   


In her academic research, Dr. Zhen Wei specializes in the protection and planning of historical cultural landscape. She spent nearly three years collecting the material of Shanghai historical and cultural landscape and making a scientific analysis, and initially proposed “landscape isolated island”. Dr. Zhen Wei introduced intelligence to her isolated landscape research for intelligent landscape reconciliation and path optimization, and creatively contributed her breakthrough in Shanghai historical and cultural landscape protection and planning with the widespread recognition.

 

In post-doctoral mobile research station, Dr. Zhen Wei, together with her co-researcher, attempted to deeply explore the intelligent design in theory and comprehensively apply it in market. Once armed with Intelligence, Dr. Zhen Wei opened a new era in design and produced some influential academic paper. Her design works enjoy more popularity. Dr Zhen Wei has become one of the best young designers in the field of China architecture and planning.
Dr. Zhen Wei loved painting during her childhood. She read tremendously and obtained life essence from practice. The peculiar experience laid a good artistic foundation for her design career. She was smart enough to introduce innovative idea to her own design work and ultimately built up a unique characteristic of her own with creativity and smartness. In academic research, she has already been on an upper step. In design practice, she demonstrated ability in North Plaza of Xi’an Great Ming Palace, then leadership in Shanghai Expo Creative Pavilion, and creativity in Zhejiang Yun’an Town. The excellent design performance won her the great recognition from both academic field and demanding market. 

 

Leading well-known Shanghai Creationwish Engineering Design Co., Ltd., Dr. Zhen Wei fully exhibited her pursuit for art and sensitivity to market with her almost one hundred landscape and planning works awarded domestic and abroad. She was awarded 2017 China Design Person of the Year Youth Design Expert, Winner of Second Prize of Asian-Pacific Space Design Competition in Planning. She is professional in market transfer of scientific achievement and makes her remark. She has published scores of academic papers and two books. She has presided over twenty big national projects and possessed two patents. The honor and achievement is not only the recognition of her design works, but more impetus.


 

Dr. Zhen Wei looks pretty and smart. Presently, she is university master supervisor, doctorate in landscape and urban planning at Tongji University, post-doctor in intelligence design at Tongji University, joint-training doctorate in urban planning at UC Berkeley, Senior researcher in Shanghai International Institute of Design and Innovation at Tongji University. Dr. Zhen Wei still acts as Vice Secretary General of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Association, Member of Architectural Society of China, Member of China Association of Building Energy Efficiency, and President of Shanghai Creationwish Engineering Design Co., Ltd.
